Okay...gah...so many things.

  • Real life blew up, it's very personal and hit me hard, so I'm sorry but I can't really go into detail with that. I'm not trying to make excuses but coupled with the fact that I recently became a freshman in college states away from home, has made writing these past months difficult to the point of nonexistent. However, things are starting to calm down, I suppose you could say. Anyway, this weekend my muse hit me with a stick and the results of the beating are below :)
  • I guess first thing, probably one you guys care about at the moment, is the next update to Time is Running Out is currently with my new beta. It's a little over 17 pages so look forward to that ^_^ Io can't post a new update every week as I anticipated, so the new schedule for that is every other week once I get ch. 15 up.
  • Yes, I got a new beta :) Her name is Mcruscito and she's actually one of my really good friends here on the fandom. I love Banana in Pyjamas, she did a great job and was amazing at send them back at a decent time, but during my hiatus we lost contact and I haven't heard from her since. For the sake of time - trying to get my updates up faster - I went looking for a new beta and Mcruscito offered. So , anyway, I'm really excited :D
  • For One Night's Eternity readers I posted a new update the other day, and I promise you that you can expect the next one within the next two weeks. I don't have a beta for this, so just know that I'll post it once I'm done and give it a once over.
  • I entered a one-shot in a contest. This isn't something I've ever done before, but I saw the theme (Prompt, I guess you could call it) for the contest and I actually had a story that fit it just sitting in my document folder. I cleaned it up, thickened the plot, extended some scenes, and cut some out. Overall I really liked the outcome :D I even had a beta and two pre-readers go over it before I submitted it. Anyway, it's the Enchantments Contest. It's anonymous so I can't tell you which one is mine, but there are only three o/s submitted so I suggest going over there and checking them out ^^ Anyway, once the contest is over (voting and all that jazz) I can post it on my account with a special A/N.
  • One last thing, once I finish One Night's Eternity, which should be by the end of next month hopefully, I will be focusing solely on Time is Running Out for a few more updates - make sure I have a firm grasp on where it's going. However, once I do that I plan on working on Her Cameo ^_^ I know exactly where that's headed and how I'm getting there, I just need to write it down Lol.

So, thanks for staying
withe me. I'm also on Twitter (there should be a link on the side >> so feel free to follow me if you'd like)

Time is Running Out Ch.13 Sneak

Five weeks.
It had been five weeks since my first chemotherapy treatment. Charlie went with me, he said it was for moral support, and it comforted me. I was happy knowing that there was someone waiting for me, but when we go there I kind of wished he had stayed home. I was a mess in every sense of the word and I wanted to just let it all out – instead I had to pretend that I was okay for my dad... We had only been waiting for a few minutes when a nurse came and told me to follow her.
I could go into all the gory details of the first of my many chemo treatments. I could explain how I barley registered anything the nurse said – the only thing I really remember is that she was taking me to the Infusion Room. Explain how when we got there the nurse, Mandy, smeared red cleaning liquid over the bump my port made, and then how I immediately closed my eyes when I saw her reaching for the needle specifically for port access, as she informed me. It was a small yellow square that looked like it had a large safety pin coming out of it. I was mentally screaming every swear word known to man as I felt her pinch the skin above my bump and insert the needle. But after that everything happened a lot less painfully than I thought it would... And every time I went back it was the same old routine.
It had also been five weeks since my first date with Jacob – it was only a couple of days after my chemo. Surprisingly it went really well. We ended up going to some pizza place in Seattle which did amazing crusts – it was covered with garlic and other seasonings – and at the end he tried to kiss me but I ducked and he ended up kissing my cheek. On the few dates we’d been on after that he made sure not to try that again. It wasn’t that I was opposed to kissing Jake, he was nice, sweet, and really cute, but every time he did something...romantic...I would get a mental image of Edward doing the same thing.
I didn’t know what it meant but I didn’t like that I liked it.
Most annoyingly, and the most painful, was that it had also been five weeks since me and a certain Edward Cullen had talked. I tried a few times during AP Chemistry but he never even acknowledged that I’d said anything. It was as if one day he just decided that he hated me. It hurt more than I cared to admit. My “inner Bella” kept yelling at me to snap out of it, I mean I’ve only talked to the guy maybe one time, but that didn’t stop the stab of rejection I felt in my chest whenever I saw him.

Time is Running Out Ch.12 Sneak

"I am not buying that."
"Bella," the annoying pixie whined.
"No. It's the size of a napkin. There's no way that can rightly be called a dress."
"But it would look gorgeous on you!"
"No. And don't you even think of buying it for me," I added as she reached to grab the offending scrap of material.
"You're being unreasonably stubborn."
"No I'm not. I just don't feel like paying for something that I will never wear."
"How do you know you'll never wear it?" She was angry now.
"Because I know me!"
As promised Alice was in my driveway beeping on her annoying horn at seven in the god forsaken morning. Somehow we managed to make it to the Port Angeles mall in less than an hour.
We've been here for five hours now and have visited every overpriced strongly perfumed clothing boutique. Alice insisted on buying me the things that would "look fabulous" on me that I didn't want to waste my money one. I was able to talk her out of most of it but she still managed to shove three bags of clothing on me. I was afraid to look at the prices of the clothes inside them.
"How about we talk about it over food?"
"There's nothing to talk about - you're getting that dress," she insisted.
"How about this. We get food, and then if you don't make me get this hideous...thing, we'll go back to that one store with the lime green and gray walls and get that one dress that you wanted me to buy. Deal?"
"Deal! Come on," she said dragging me out of the store.
"Wait, Alice, the food court is the other way."
"Clothes are more important than food," she sang. Literally sang.
"Alice I'm starving," I said unable to keep from laughing at her. Maybe Emmett was right - I didn't know what I was getting myself in to.

Hope ya enjoyed ^^

15 July 2010

So I just finished typing up Time is Running Out Chapter 12 but I'm going to refrain posting an excerpt till I hear back form my beta - there are some things I'm contemplating changing ^^
I've started the next chapter for One Night's Eternity so hopefully that's something that you guys can look forward to soon.
Hmm, I'm on the mend! I no longer feel like shit so I that's definitely a good sign ;D
If you're looking for news on Her Cameo I finished typing up some future chapters and I'm really excited about it - the story is really starting to flesh out. However, I'm still sticking to my plans of finishing up some of my others before I focus on that.
On the exciting side of things I got this idea for a new story - honestly I think it's great, but that may just be me. I'm not going to say anything on it except that it sticks to the ExB pattern - I still want to do a JasperxBella but that may come at a later date. Anyway, I will refrain from posting that as well, because I'm trying to become a frequent updater... It's a hard transition :P And I know that if I do post it now that it will not be updated for some time and just sit there - like her Cameo.
Thanks for stickin with me ^^

13 July 2010

I realize that I have neglected to update in a while but I do have a valid reason for it. I planned on having the next installment of Time Is Running Out up last Friday, then I was going to try and tackle One Night's Eternity - I'm having a really hard time writing one of the upcoming scenes without it sounding like one giant cliche - but I caught some horrendous virus from one of my friends. The thing pretty much drained the life out of me.
Anyway, I'm sorry for none of the updates that I promised.
I'm starting to feel a little better so I tried finishing up T.R.O the other day, but for some reason it became a JasperxBella story even though it's supposed to be a EdwardxBella story... I don't know ^^"
So, I'm going to try and fix t
hat - should be pretty easy actually - then hopefully I can get back to O.N.E
Sorry for the wait, but I appreciate the patience! ^^

P.s. I hope all of you liked Eclipse. I don't know about you but I though the whole training and battle scene was orgasmic!

Time Is Running Out Ch.11 Sneak

"Bella?"
"Living room dad," I yelled.
"So Bella, I didn't think you'd want to - Oh, hey Leo. Somehow I knew you'd be here..."
"Hey Charlie."
"So what did you think I wouldn't want to do, dad?" I asked trying to break the slightly awkward tension. For some reason, lately Charlie hasn't been Leonard's biggest fan. I tried talking to him about it but he just mumbled something and walked away.
"Oh, right. I didn't thi
nk you'd want to cook tonight so I got a pizza. Extra pepperoni," Charlie stated looking proud.
"Thanks dad, this is great!"
I got up to get us some plates and soda, and was surprised to come back to Charlie and Leonard in a little huddle kind of thing. There was whispering. I didn't like it.
"What's going on?"
At the sound of my voice both of them jumped apart like they'd been zapped.
"Nothing," my dad grunted.
"Charlie, don't even try lying to me. I know you too well. Now spill it," I demanded.
Instead of answering me my dad turned towards Leo, his eyes pleading for him to do something.
"There's nothing really going on, it's more like something that we want to you to consider..." Leo paused but continued when he realized he wasn't going to get any type of response from me. "So, your dad went down to La Push the other day, you know when you were at my house, and he ran into Billy's son, Jacob. Turns out the guy likes you but he's been afraid to talk to you since I'm kind of around y
ou...all the time."
"Wait. He actually told you that he likes me?" I turned towards my dad in disbelief.
"Well no, he didn't say it, but he wouldn't shut up about you, no offense kid, and he wasn't really trying to hide it. Anyone could have figured it out."
"Okay, now that I know he isn't a total re-re, why are you guys telling me this?"
"Re-re?" my dad whispered to Leo.
"Retard," Leo explained.
"Huh. That's...weird. Umm, right. Anyway, we were wondering how opposed you would be towards going out with the boy. Just once, you know to see if you like him..."
"Are you seriously playing match maker for me?"
"Just tryin to help you out Bell. You're eighteen - you need to start experiencing some of the things that life offers," he stated firmly.
